Call/Recall for Screening:
 
  • The NHS provides a number of cancer screening programmes to individuals registered with a GP; the most common screening programmes are cervical and breast although there are more. We manage the process of sending invitation letters and results letters to individuals who take part in these programmes; we produce the initial list, we send the list to the GP to validate (the GP removes any individuals who it would be inappropriate to invite), on receipt of the confirmed list back from the GP we send invitation letters to the list of individuals. When we receive the results from the cytology laboratories, we send the result letters to the individuals ensuring that the letter is sent within 14 days of the test being completed.
