ABOUT PERSONAL HEALTH BUDGETS
Enabling and accelerating the uptake of Personal Health Budgets through digital transformation
PHBs can enable the personalisation of an individual's care and increase independence as well as allowing access to a wide range of support. A Personal Health Budget (PHB) is an amount of funding provided by NHS England to support healthcare requirements for adults in receipt of Continuing Healthcare (CHC) or a child receiving continuing care - the amount of funding received is not means tested. This budget can be spent on care products and services agreed as part of the support plan created with the Clinical Commissioning Groups; this includes such services as employing people to provide care around the clock (Personal Assistant). This is possible through our eMarketplace: PHBChoices.
