The COVID-19 situation is evolving rapidly, and our focus at NHS Shared Business Services continues to be to support our clients and the wider NHS in ensuring that staff are paid, orders are processed, suppliers are paid and cash moves around the NHS.
In line with government guidance, which we review daily, we are aiming to transition to a home working model. Please bear with us during this period; our focus is on ensuring continuity of core services but there may be some impact on other services.
We have invoked company-wide business continuity management to best support our staff and client service delivery, proactively implementing proportionate policy and process updates in response to impact and risk.
We continue to communicate daily with our employees and are implementing hygiene, travel, work and medical advice in line with government guidance across all sites.
Some of the measures we have already put in place to protect our staff include:
- Office closures and social distancing, via remote working whenever possible
- Flexible working to support remote and on-site colleagues, to continue delivery of service
- Self-quarantining and reporting protocols
- International and UK travel restrictions
- Split teams
Throughout these unprecedented times we continue to take a pragmatic approach and will work with you to ensure we continue to deliver the vital services on which you rely.
Finally, it goes without saying that the health and safety of our people and our ability to continue to support you during this time are our priorities.
Thank you for your support.

ISAE 3402 audits
We were planning to distribute our International Standard on Assurance Engagements 3402 (ISAE 3402) audit reports for all lines of business on 17 April. However, we have taken the decision with our auditors PwC to delay the distribution of the reports by two weeks. This will allow our operational colleagues to continue to focus on service delivery during this time and to agree the appropriate wording for the audit reports. We would like to assure you that although we are adapting some of our processes to accommodate the changing environment, our focus is still on ensuring that we have appropriate governance and controls in place across our business. The revised date for the distribution of the ISAE 3402 assurance reports is 1 May 2020.
