All procurement services continue to operate as normal.

The Edge4Health

To support our clients at this difficult time we have provided immediate free access to The Edge4Health - our online marketplace for the NHS. Although the "standalone" platform is not integrated into client systems, it nevertheless enables you to swiftly and easily check the availability and price of products in one place. Login details were sent to procurement contacts via email last week. If you did not receive these, or have any queries, please contact sbs.procurement.enquiries@nhs.net. Competitive Tendering

We continue to deliver competitive tendering projects for clients, with no barriers to the end-to-end process being completed safely and effectively. However, as some of our clients have paused market engagement and tendering activities, we are able to reallocate some capacity to support other clients who may need supplementary procurement project capacity at this time. Framework agreements

We would like to remind customers that we manage a wide range of framework agreements, all of which allow for a direct award if required. Our framework agreements can be used by any public sector organisation - you do not need to be a customer of NHS SBS. More information is available here.

1. What steps have you already taken to mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the Procurement Service provided by NHS SBS?

We continue to provide all of our procurement services and have enabled all teams to work remotely so that our customers are not affected. Additional resilience measures have been put in place for our critical Transactional Procurement and Materials Management teams to maintain customer supply-chains, the processing of orders and provide end-user support; should they be needed we also have robust continuity plans in place.

 

2. If I have a specific question about procurement how should I get in touch? 

All of our procurement teams are still available using the usual methods of communication.

 

3. If I need extra support, can NHS SBS help?

The Procurement teams are working on ways we can offer support to our clients who are experiencing resource challenges. We urge anyone to get in touch should you need to explore your requirements. You can contact us as tproc@nhs.net
