Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an example of how new technologies have the potential to transform NHS patient care, speeding up diagnosis and treatment times by ensuring that expert clinical resource is targeted where it has the greatest impact for the patient.

Why AI?

The use of decision support and AI helps clinicians in applying best practice, eliminates unwarranted variation across the whole pathway of care, and supports patients in managing their health and conditions is a key objective in the NHS Long Term Plan.

This workshop aims to explore the challenges and opportunities NHS Shared Business Services’ (NHS SBS) new framework agreement hold for AI innovation in the NHS and wider public sector organisations.

The session will cover:

• How important is adoption of AI within the NHS and wider public sector organisations?
• What are the challenges you are currently facing when it comes to AI adoption?
• Are you experiencing any difficulties when procuring AI?
• What existing AI solutions is your organisation currently utilising?
• What other solutions would you like to be included in the scope of the new framework agreement?​
