The framework for interpretation and translation services provides a variety of translation and interpretation services. The services on this framework agreement include face to face (spoken language), British sign language (BSL), telephone interpretation and translation, document translation, plus video translation and interpretation.

What does the framework cover?
The NHS SBS Interpretation and Translation Services Framework covers all of your service needs. The Service Level Agreement (SLA) is flexible enough to be amended to reflect local demand, fill rates and travel cost considerations.

We ensure annual supplier audits are conducted, giving you confidence that interpreters are fully compliant with the specification. Pre-employment checks conducted to verify interpreter qualifications, language ability, employment references and basic/enhanced DBS checks.

Competitive regional pricing for Lot 1 face-to-face and Lot 2 British sign language. Eight regions covering England to enable local pricing and providers. Discounts are available based on committed spend/volume via a mini-competition.
• CHOICE
The framework offers a range of suppliers providing you with lots of choice and offers the option to direct award or run a mini-competition processes to select your preferred supplier(s).
• EU COMPLIANT
There is no need for you to repeat the procurement process; simply appoint a supplier through this framework and sign a Service Level Agreement (SLA).

The framework was developed with stakeholders from Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, The Christie Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester West Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Salford City Council, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust, supporting development of the specification and evaluation.
