Framework Agreement Description
The framework for respiratory therapy covers respiratory equipment and consumables. This agreement will provide for services including; sleep apnoea, asthma and COPD support, smoking cessation, products to support respiratory therapy either within an acute or community setting, plus a managed service provision and home delivery provision.

Who developed the framework?
The Respiratory Therapy - Equipment and Consumables framework agreement replaced a framework which expired on the 30 September 2017. The agreement covers a wide range of products, equipment and consumables related to respiratory therapy.

Detailed Service Offering
The purpose of this framework agreement is to provide coverage for every aspect of respiratory therapy. This procurement enables member trusts to not only access a full, modern and quality range of equipment and consumables, but provides benefit at every stage of their processes.
This framework agreement will provide for the following services:
• LOT 1: Products
• Asthma and COPD diagnosis and management products
• NIV ventilators and nebulisers
• Diagnostic kits for sleep apnoea
• Data management provision
• Servicing of products
• Home delivery provision
• Products for non-invasive ventilation of patients
• Humidifiers including all accessories and consumables
• Equipment and devices for the clearance and management of lung secretions
• LOT 2: Managed Service Provision
This lot covers the delivery of a managed service for respiratory therapy and other associated products. It is envisaged that this lot will be awarded on the basis of individual mini-competitions for specific customer needs. These mini-competitions will follow the under mentioned process (although other processes may be followed to suit individual customer requirements.
