Framework Agreement Description
The framework for advanced wound and skin care management allows the NHS and public sector organisations to benefit from the expertise of the awarded suppliers in selecting the most economically advantageous solutions for wound care and skin care. This framework agreement is divided into three lots and includes dressings, bandages, burn products and haemostatic products.

01 July 2017 to 30 June 2019 (with the option to extend for an additional 2 years until 30 June 2021)

Any NHS or Public Sector Organisation
What does the framework cover?
This framework agreement allows for approved organisations to procure Advanced Wound and Skin Care Management and associated products:
• LOT 1
- Dressings (including, but not limited to:
Adhesive
Foam
Antimicrobial
Barrier
Honey
Hydrogel
- Compression bandages
- Tubular bandages
• LOT 2
- Specialist scars
- Plastics
- Burns products
• LOT 3
- Haemostatic products
What are the benefits of using the framework?

A detailed procurement exercise has taken place to ensure suppliers are appropriate in terms of meeting all legislative requirements. The framework contains provision for direct award and further competition, if required, NHS SBS can advise on a case by case basis.

This framework allows approved organisations to benefit from the expertise of the awarded suppliers in selecting the most economically advantageous solutions to meet their clinical and business requirements.
• CLINICALLY ACCEPTABLE
Products are clinically approved following a comprehensive evaluation process by a multi-professional clinical stakeholder group. Pressures on public finance and the NHS price were considered alongside quality criteria based on a combined knowledge of the group.
• COMPLETE SOLUTION
This comprehensive agreement coupled with the following agreements provides NHS SBS with complete framework coverage of these specialist clinical areas: Advance Wound Care Delivery (off script complete ordering, stock and delivery management service currently fulfilled by NWOS, ConvaTec & Hartmann), Beds Mattresses & Pressure Area Care and Topical Negative Pressure.
