NHS Shared Business Services secures spot on major new national framework for provision of NHS corporate services

Leading finance & accounting, digital, procurement and workforce services provider,NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS), has won a place on a major new national framework agreement for the provision of corporate services to all NHS bodies in England and Wales – spanning its four Lots, and attaining sole award on two.

The Back Office Systems, Services and Support framework was created by NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), which is hosted by Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, to provide a streamlined, compliant and cost-effective route for healthcare organisations and the wider public sector to procure a range of finance, procurement and workforce services.

Through the framework, which runs until the end of January 2026, healthcare providers, commissioners and arm’s length bodies – including new Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) – can access NHS SBS’s high-quality corporate services.

The agreement comprises four Lots:  Lot 1 – Payroll, HR and Workforce Services, Lot 2 – Finance and Accounting, Lot 3 – Procurement Services and Lot 4 – Procure to Pay.

Notably, NHS SBS has secured a place on all four and been sole awarded in the case of Lot 2 and Lot 4.

Erika Bannerman, Managing Director at NHS SBS commented:

“We are delighted to have been named an approved supplier to this important framework agreement and to have been awarded to all four Lots. It means our NHS partners can call off all our existing services, as well as the new digital and data-led solutions we are developing for the NHS.

“Critically, it enables us to continue to support them as the NHS landscape changes with the development of ICSs – part of the most significant NHS reforms for a generation.”
