As many of you are already aware, NHS Shared Business Services is currently migrating our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) services to a new Oracle Cloud data centre to ensure a more robust future environment for our customers' data.
The migration of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to a new Oracle Cloud data centre will mean that NHS organisations relying on our ERP platform will benefit from the very latest technology, which is right for the NHS, without being exposed to unnecessary risk or unrealistic timeframes. This reflects our size and scale, learnings from other organisations and suppliers themselves, and the responsibility we have to guarantee success for a significant proportion of the NHS.
Design and initial build phases have been completed. During 2019, NHS SBS engaged with our customers to support the IT readiness tasks required to enable testing, and in the New Year the programme will move into testing phases. Throughout testing, clients will be invited to conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) - we will provide further details around this over the coming months. However, we would welcome our customers' input at as early a stage as possible, so if you'd like to be involved in testing, please inform your Client Partnership Executive / Service Manager.
We would like to thank our customers for their engagement and support so far in relation to the ERP Programme.
