Intro David Morris

Welcome to this edition of NHS SBS News; keeping you updated with what's happening in the company and how we're helping you keep your back offices running.

As the end of the year is fast approaching, it seems apt to look back at what's been achieved, and what we're looking forward to next year.

With our mission of delivering £1 billion of savings back to the NHS by 2020, I'm pleased that the past year has seen some of the country's top teaching hospitals, tertiary centres and foundation trusts join us, including University College London; the Royal Free, London and Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

We've invested in our transactional services, helping us recover over £1.5 million VAT and £54 million debt for our clients every single day.And we've constantly refined our processes to make sure that we are as effective and efficient as possible.

But our clients tell us they don't just join us because of the strength of our core services. They join because they share our determination to transform and innovate to build new services, such as introducing automation and robotics to add value - more about this below.

Next year will see the launch of Edge4Health - a GS1/PEPPOL accredited agile technology platform, delivering best-in-class eProcurement functionality including a consumer-style procure to pay online marketplace, catalogue management and other benefits, including e-invoicing and management information. We'll also be bringing you a new planning, budgeting and forecasting tool, and improved supplier data management, alongside more bespoke services in recruitment and procurement for example.  Finally, we're set to become more mobile, with the development of apps to bring our products and services to the palm of your hand.

Why not keep up to date with the latest in how we're transforming back office services by following us on Twitter and LinkedIn?

Finally, may I take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a very happy festive season.
