The use of surgical robots to bolster robotic assisted surgery (RAS) drives clinical transformation within the NHS.
Surgical robots help clinical teams to ensure operations are safe, accurate and less invasive. They provide surgeons with sub millimetre precision, reduce fatigue, enable fewer large incisions during surgery, and allow flexibility and control during many forms of complex procedures.
Surgeons can offer patients more minimally invasive surgery for a wide range of conditions, reducing the time patients need to spend in hospital due to quicker recovery, improving the patient pathway and easing hospital bed pressures.
