   Excel Fundamentals: Get started with creating spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel: Anyone who needs to create spreadsheets and has little or no previous experience with Excel. It is important that before you attend this training course you are competent with basic windows, keyboard and mouse skills. If not, please register for our Introduction to Essential IT Skills course.

   Excel Tables: To make managing and analysing a group of related data easier, you can turn your range of cells into an Excel Table (previously known as an Excel List). A table typically contains related data in a series of worksheet rows and columns that have been formatted as a table. By using the table features, you can then manage the data in the table rows and columns independently from the data in other rows and columns on the worksheet. It is important that before you attend this training course you are competent with the topics covered on the Microsoft Excel Fundamentals course. If not, please register for our Excel Fundamentals course.

   Excel Data Validation: Anyone who wants to ensure the data entered is accurate and consistent, and to restrict the type of data or values that users enter into cells. You should be familiar with the subjects covered on the Microsoft Excel Fundamentals course.

   Excel Data Formatting and Cleansing: Anyone who needs to create spreadsheets, or has received spreadsheets from others where the data was laid out incorrectly, or used inconsistent formatting. This course will show you how to correct bad layout and formatting quickly so that you are able to take full advantage or Excel's powerful functions, e.g. Sort, Filter and PivotTables, Excel Tables, Charts and Data Analysis etc.

   Excel Calculating: Formulas, Functions and Multiple Sheets: Anyone who wishes to create Excel formulas and is familiar with the subjects covered on the Microsoft Excel Fundamentals course. It is important that before you attend this training course you are competent with the topics covered on the Microsoft Excel Fundamentals course. If not, please register for our Excel Fundamentals course.

   Excel Pivot tables, filter and sort: Anyone who wishes to use excel to sort and filter data and create pivot tables to summarise an excel list. You should be familiar with the subjects covered on the Microsoft Excel Fundamentals course.

   Excel Creating Charts: Anyone who wishes to use create Excel charts and is familiar with the subjects covered on the Microsoft Excel Fundamentals course.

   Excel Dates and Times: Learn how to format and calculate with dates and times. Also included are a few Textual functions. The Calculating with Excel course is a pre-requisite.

   Excel Data Analysis - Part 1: According to Wikipedia, Data Analysis is defined as a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making. This course will help with that. The Excel Fundamentals course is a pre-requisite. Also, attending the Excel Tables and the Excel Sort, Filter and Pivot Tables courses are highly recommended, but not essential.

   Excel Data Analysis - Part 2: According to Wikipedia, Data Analysis is defined as a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data with the goal of discovering useful information, suggesting conclusions, and supporting decision-making. This course will help with that. The Excel Calculations course is a pre-requisite. Also, attending the Excel Data Analysis - Part 1 and the Excel Sort, Filter and Pivot Tables courses are highly recommended, but not essential.

   Excel Bespoke: This course is delivered by special request and only if you have completed both the Excel Fundamentals and Calculating with Excel courses. NB: depending on the request it may not be possible to complete all the course content advertised in the time allotted.

   Excel Macro Recording Fundamentals: This course is delivered by special request and only if you have completed both the Excel Fundamentals and Calculating with Excel courses. Learn how to automate repetitive and lengthy steps by recording basic Macros to save you a lot of time.

 

What is Microsoft Excel?

Excel is a program you use to create spreadsheets, which are essentially large electronic tables in which text and numbers can be stored.

  • Calculations can be created and updated quickly
  • Charts can be produced using your data
  • Lists of data can be sorted and filtered

 

Spreadsheets are commonly used for producing budgets or company reports.
