Speaker session: Increasing Productivity and Enabling Cost Reductions with a Single, Integrated Finance and Enhanced P2P Solution
Speaker: James Thirkill, Director of Business Development at NHS Shared Business Services
Norfolk & Waveney ICS (N&W ICS) is improving productivity, reducing costs and enhancing patients’, colleagues’ and suppliers’ experience by digitally transforming and integrating Finance and Procurement.
In this session James will discuss the benefits realised and the challenges that both NHS SBS and N&W ICS teams had to overcome in the implementation of a single financial ledger and enhanced purchase-to-pay platform across the ICS.
It will explore how the ICS has reduced savings leakage and enhanced financial control, made work easier for requisitioners and budget holders, and improved supplier and contract management. This has been done by reducing requisitioning time, increasing the number of purchase orders (POs), and nearly eliminating non-PO spend.
