Leading corporate services provider, NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS), has secured a spot as a supplier on Crown Commercial Service’s (CCS) Management Consultancy Framework Four (MCF4), solidifying its role in supporting UK public sector organisations with expert-led consultancy services.
The framework provides public sector organisations across the UK, including the NHS, local authorities, educational institutions and central government departments with fast, compliant access to trusted advisory services that drive smarter operations and improved outcomes for the communities they serve.
Through its award to four specialist Lots (categories), NHS SBS will deliver tailored consultancy across:
- Lot 1 – Business: Strategic planning, operating model design and service transformation
- Lot 4 – Finance: Strategic and operational consultancy and professional services relating to finance
- Lot 5 – HR: Consultancy and professional services
- Lot 6 – Procurement & Supply Chain: Provision of consultancy and professional services relating to procurement and supply chain, including option identification, recommendations, implementation and delivery
NHS SBS’s appointment to MCF4 follows closely on the heels of its success at the HSJ Digital Awards 2025, where it scooped the award for its groundbreaking Enhanced Purchase to Pay solution, developed and designed in partnership with Norfolk and Waveney Procurement Collaboration.
This first-of-its-kind initiative saw the successful deployment of a single, integrated finance and transactional procurement service – the first NHS contract to deliver consolidated corporate services across all five trusts in the Norfolk and Waveney integrated care system, setting a benchmark for procurement and finance services within healthcare.
“Our appointment to MCF4 reflects NHS SBS’s proven ability to deliver impact in complex environments, helping public sector and healthcare organisations navigate change and transform with confidence,” says Alice Donovan-Hart, Director of Consulting, NHS SBS.
“Whether it’s redesigning services, strengthening financial planning, or unlocking workforce potential, we’re here to help them move forward with purpose and precision and to be resilient in the face of change and transformation.
“We welcome and look forward to working in partnership with clients across the public sector.”
