Welcome to the May edition of our Framework Agreement News. This month, we’re showcasing how our framework agreements are helping organisations deliver projects faster, create vital capacity and support sustainability goals across the NHS and wider public sector.

Fast-track delivery: Creating extra capacity at Leeds City College

Leeds City College needed to expand quickly, without disrupting its busy city centre campus. To fast-track delivery, the college used our Modular Buildings Framework Agreement, partnering with McAvoy to deliver a new purpose-built teaching facility for 300 students.

  • 43 modules were manufactured offsite
  • Installation took just five days
  • The full project was completed in only 19 weeks
  • It was ready for the next academic intake

The new 1,380m² facility includes specialist science labs, a gym, modern classrooms, and staff spaces, alongside energy-efficient features such as photovoltaic panels and air-source heat pumps.

Read the case study to see how the combination of our framework agreement and modular construction delivered a high-quality, future-ready education space – on time and on budget.

Whether it’s a new idea, feedback on what’s working, suggestions for improvement, or any gaps you feel are missing, your input plays an important role in shaping framework agreements that deliver real value.

No idea is too small. Your input helps us develop agreements that are practical, effective and deliver real value.

Greener Procurement, Healthier Planet: How Framework Agreements are Powering a Sustainable Future

To mark World Earth Day, we highlighted how smarter procurement is helping the NHS reduce its environmental impact and move closer to net zero.

With supply chain emissions accounting for over 60% of the NHS’s total carbon footprint, procurement decisions play a critical role in tackling climate change.

Our framework agreements embed sustainability into everyday purchasing—supporting organisations to:

  • Reduce carbon emissions
  • Minimise waste
  • Deliver long-term social value

By turning net zero ambitions into practical action, these framework agreements are helping create a more resilient, efficient and environmentally responsible NHS delivering better outcomes for patients, staff and the planet.

Update: Patient Discharge and Mental Health Step Down Beds (Care) Services

This extension ensures:

  • Continued access to a compliant route to market
  • Ongoing support for patient recovery and discharge
  • Increased capacity within hospitals by reducing delays

Please contact us at nsbs.health@nhs.net if you have any requirements regarding this framework agreement, and we’ll be happy to support.
