With an aging population, there’s increased demand for health and mobility equipment to ensure patients have the support they need within hospitals, care homes, and at home.

Our Acute and Community Health and Social Care Equipment Products and Services Framework Agreement has been created to support the NHS with this challenge, it includes:

  • A wide range of daily living aids and moving equipment (including bariatric and paediatric specialist products) to support patient safety and wellbeing within healthcare settings, care homes and patients’ homes.
  • Beds, mattresses and other pressure relieving and positioning equipment, enabling continuity of care in the patient’s home. This ensures appropriate timely discharge and assists in the prevention of pressure ulcers, which cost the NHS £3.8m every day.
  • Wheelchairs, including associated maintenance, components, specialist pressure relieving cushions and decontamination services, minimising waste and supporting the reuse of wheelchairs for the 1.2 million wheelchair users in the UK, of which 70% wait over three months for new chairs.
  • A continence home delivery service that supports organisations to manage patients journey to social continence. By contracting directly with the supplier, customers benefit from independent product selection and a fully managed service. This involves taking patient prescriptions, handling patient orders/queries, a two-hour delivery window, extensive account management and clinical support and training.

Our framework agreement ensures that the right equipment is in place to support the patient, maximising their independence and leading to the best possible sustainable outcome.
